$ $ $ $First things first: é by José Andrés is unlike any other restaurant in Las Vegas. It’s probably unlike any restaurant where you’ve ever dined, or ever will again.
One table. Six seats. 20-ish courses. And a meal prepared just inches in front of you by a team of extraordinary chefs using the avant garde techniques Andrés helped Ferran Adria pioneer at Spain’s famed El Bulli. (Please don’t call it “molecular gastronomy” – Chef Andrés is not a fan of the term.) Tucked into a back room of Jaleo, é is Las Vegas most exclusive, and perhaps most mind-blowing, restaurant.
When asked to recommend his favorite celebrity chef restaurant, food blogger Philip Tzeng echoed the sentiments of many when he said, “Jose Andrés’ spots are all stellar, with my favorite being é by José Andrés or Bazaar Meat.”
And while both ended up on our list of top celebrity chef restaurants (Bazaar scored a few more votes), é is the one preferred for special occasions. That makes sense. It’s hard to imagine a meal here that wouldn’t be classified as an incredibly special occasion.
