Pasta Shop Ristorante & Art Gallery

Open since 1989 (from 1989-2009 at Tropicana & Eastern and at its current location in Henderson), it’s certainly stood the test of time.

There is much to love at this family-owned and -run Ristorante, which doubles as an art gallery displaying the beautiful creations of owner Ann Alenik, and equally delightful is the culinary contribution of her late husband, David Alenik. After his passing in 2017, the family has honored the recipes he perfected and the legacy of warm hospitality.

VegansBaby.com founder Diana Edelman made this one of her choices for the Italian category, saying, “I also love Pasta Shop and their handmade pastas.” The menu includes numerous vegan options such as Frank’s meatless (with finely diced vegan meatballs, onions, spices, tomato sauce and rigatoni) and roasted Brussels sprouts (in a sesame balsamic glaze with roasted cashews).

Another menu highlight is chicken Davida — sautéed chicken breast topped with fried eggplant, sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella and polenta. Seafood lovers won’t be disappointed with the portofino loaded with fresh clams, scallops and shrimp served over linguine in a Diablo sauce.
